Abstrakt: | Dong Hai Bridge is also known as East Ocean Bridge or East Sea Bridge and connects the mainland with an isolated island 31km out at open sea. It is the lifeline of the Shanghai International Shipping Centre, for trasports from the Yangshan Deep Water Port to mainland, and for supply of water, power and communications. It is the longest and the first genuine sea-crossing bridge in China. Design and construction are carried out closely together in order to select appropriate structures and construction techniques tailored for the different local conditions and in order to meet stringent technical requirements. |
