Abstrakt:

This study presents a comparative analysis of the behavior of reinforced concrete frame structures, with an emphasis on the influence of reinforcement and detailing in connections. During the earthquakes that occurred in Turkey on February 6, 2023, the performance of this type of system without proper connection detailing was inadequate. In this article, the behavior of three buildings is analytically simulated, considering three levels of detailing: the first with a strength-based detailing level, the second with a low ductility level (Q=2), and the third with a high ductility level (Q=4). The obtained results highlight the influence of detailing on the behavior of reinforced concrete structures under seismic incidents.
