Cities were emerged due to industrialisation, forcing people to spend the majority of time indoors such as residential, workspaces. This has caused distancing from nature which is now affecting human health and well-being. Scientific research indicates that nature impacts our physiological, psychological, and cognitive health. By applying biophilic design patterns in the built environment one gets connected with nature to overcome issues of physical and mental health. The study explains briefly the importance of creating positive human-centric spaces for human well-being. The paper aims to find out the effects of biophilic indicators on occupants of workspaces and classrooms. Different case studies (literature based) were discussed based on typologies as workspace and classrooms of educational institutes. For office spaces study examines literature for performance, creativity, and health of the employee and classrooms explore for attention capacity of students and their well-being. In conclusion paper identifies common tools for different health or performance. |
