This article updates the paper presented during the Second ACHE Conference held in Madrid in November 2002. At that time, the construction project was already finished and the construction works had started, at the present time the construction works have been completed and the bridge was oficcially opened with the presence of local and state authorities on 18 December 2004. Hence, this article reviews that paper as a whole, removing the administrative background and referencing the persons involved in the technical specifications; references to other arches (Waxian and Martin Gil) have been removed and improved the description of the formulas to obtain the crown jack opening figures: N0 and M0; project chapters as well as 3 and 4 have been clearly separated from the construction chapter 5 and 6; better photos of the construction have been added and included a completely new chapter on the problems encountered during the execution.
