Abstrait:

In this paper, the properties of a steel-fibre-reinforced ultra-high-strength concrete are discussed. The matrix is a silica-fume-based concrete with a compression strength of 140-200 MPa. Among other excellent properties, the bonds between reinforcement bars and the concrete are very good. Thus, the anchorage length of the reinforcement bars is very small. Taking advantage of this, a new building system made up of the precast elements has been designed. The building system is composed of columns and slab elements only, which are cast together in a very simple process. The system can produce flat-slab buildings that have large spaces between the columns, making it possible to design buildings with a high degree of flexibility in terms of usage.
