Abstract:

Building for the future - the view of the Federal Building Ministry.

The new Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety will shortly submit a Climate Action Programme 2020 based on the Coalition Agreement of the current government to achieve additional CO₂ savings. At the same time the Alliance for Affordable Housing and Building aims to keep housing affordable and ensure that more social housing is built, in particular in conurbations. These two goals can only be attained if we consistently implement innovative approaches in housing development and energy-efficient, sustainable building. The research initiative Future Building (Zukunft Bau) makes a vital contribution to this. The current funding guidelines entered into force on 28 July 2014.
