Abstract:

A proposal for the calculation of deformations in concrete - encased steel beams

Concrete-encased steel beams are attractive solutions for railroad bridges with spans up to 25 meters. By this type of constructions the cracking of concrete is of great importance. In this article a calculation procedure is suggested, which is appropriate for evaluating deformations of steel-profiles integrated in concrete under service conditions.
