Notes
The railroad bridge is of Howe Truss design and believed to be the only remaining Howe Truss Railroad bridge in the world.
The bridge was originally constructed in Barre Vermont for use by the Barre Railroad to span the Winooski River. Brothers Ed Clark and Murray Clark dismantled the bridge after it was abandoned in 1960. They moved the individual bridge pieces to North Woodstock and reassembled the bridge along the banks of the Pemigewasset River. It was ingeniously placed into service over the river in 1965 where it remains active on a local steam railroad today.
