A flood washes away part of the bridges falsework, delaying completion of the bridge until 1889.

1929

With the construction of the new parallel railroad bridge, this one is sold to Kentucky and converted to automobile use.

1970

Facing major repairs, the bridge is instead demolished and a new bridge is constructed in its place.
