Abstract:

Time dependent development of concrete compressive strength and the influence on the bearing capacity of post-installed anchorages

The increase of the concrete compressive strength is a well-known phenomenon and has been proved by lots of investigations. Nevertheless the semi-empiric formulas only allow the determination of an estimated value. Within this contribution based on test results it is discussed if these formulas can also be applied in deviating environmental conditions of the test members. In addition based on the time dependent behaviour of the concrete compressive strength test series of post-installed anchorages in standard concrete C20/25 are compared to tests which have been performed in concrete with a higher strength which does no longer fulfil the requirements of the relevant regulations. In case of invariant failure modes it is shown that on a few test series of anchorages the test results in the higher strength concrete can be seen statistically based from the same population.
