Abstract:

Torrelodones bridge over the Guadarrama river

This bridge substitutes a stone arch ehich was built by Juan de Herrera in the XVI Century for the road drom Madrid to El Escorial. The new bridge is also a tympan arch; it is hinged at the extremes and it is supported on two piramidal abutments.
