Abstract:

Stay bridge of Marbella

This report refers to an article published in HORMIGON Y ACERO N 173, which gives a detailed explanation about the structural behaviour of the stay bridge in Marbella and the respective static calculations. The present work offers a descrioption about the bridge's construction processes. Firstly, the construction of the tower is described, in certain detail, with a variable edge and twin slope forming; secondly, the construction is reviewed in centre of the deck. Lastly, the assembly and stressing processes of the stays formed by mono-protected strands are explained.
