Abstract: The influence of the reduction factor decreasing the yield stress on the resistance of the girder with corrugated web made of steel [1] or made of aluminium alloy [2] are analyzed and evaluated. The values and the distributions of the transverse bending moment resulting from the shear flow in flanges are calculated and analyzed. The approximate formula for Mz is derived, because Mz is not defined in the Eurocodes [1,2]. Two steel girders with span Z = 18m and L = 12m are investigated. The proposals for the improvements of Eurocodes [1,2] are given.
