Abstract:

The extension of the Hieflau power station is intended to increase the productive water quantity from 60 to 90 m³/s. The normal power production of the power station, which was commissioned in 1955, will be increased by the planned measures by about 108 GWh/a. In addition to the necessary adaptations and refurbishment of the intake and discharge structures, the headrace tunnel to be constructed represents the most important part of the extension.
