Abstract:

The architect has succeeded in integrating successfully all the intended objectives, in accord with the most up to date architectural practice on school design, i.e., good adaptation to the available ground site, functionalism, dynamic spatial contrasts, formal simplicity, solid construction and great plastic expressivity. The latter depends mainly on the double interplay of the masses and light and shadow effects, which are emphasized by the quality of the concrete texture. Concrete has been liberally used both for the load-bearing walls and for the thin elements used in the construction of the roof.
