Abstract:

This paper describes the approach of design and construction to achieve the panel-stayed bridge

with rapid curve and long central span. The Second Agatsumagawa Bridge as for approach in design, we constructed a main tower as four independent pillars by separating main beams and bridge piers from main tower. In doing so, we have suggested to build the panel-stayed bridge with rapid curve and long central span with securing a train running space. Additionally, when we constructed, we have also discussed construction technique of panel-stayed form with curved shape. As a result, we have constructed a very unique shape of bridge successfully.
