Chronology

26 January 1884

A 132 m-long section of the superstructure still under construction is swept away in a 160 km/h strong gale and crashes 14 m away from the bridge on the bottom of the valley.

1926

Derailment causes damage and requires repairs to the bridge.

1955

Repaired due to damage caused by overloading from 1940-1945.
