Bahá'í Temple of South America in Chile : The Bahá'í Temple of Chile is a temple of worship of Baha'is. It is located in the municipality of Peñalolén, in Santiago de Chile. The Bahá'í House of Worship of South America was inaugurated in October 2016. This house of worship joins the other 8 Baha'i temples that exist around the world located in Samoa, Panama, Uganda, Germany, India, Australia and the United States. The design of the temple was in charge of the architecture office Hariri Pontarini Architects and the architect in charge was Siamak Hariri, together with the Chilean Juan Grimm, who was in charge of the landscape design. Bahai House of Worship Santiago CHILE || Templo Bahai De Sudamérica : The selected design was designed by Siamak Hariri of Toronto, Canada, and fabrication of components began in 2007.Its sides will be composed of translucent panels of alabaster and cast glass. The interior structure will be a lattice structure of steel supporting the inside of the upper dome. The construction completed in October, 2016, with doors opening on October 19, 2016.
